Europe Unlimited (EUnl)

Europe Unlimited provides event and online matching platforms between emerging innovative companies, investors and partners across Europe and its regions, sectors and stages, presenting hundreds of high-tech entrepreneurial companies in many venture fora and partnering events across Europe to Venture Capital and corporate investors and partners to support innovation management of SMEs and to improve their investor-readiness and access to finance and markets. Europe Unlimited has gradually developed its activities since 1998 and now has extensive capabilities, networks, competencies, databases, client relations allowing it to mobilise investors and innovative entrepreneurs across Europe through investment matching events and investment readiness programmes. Europe Unlimited runs the European Venture Contest, the International Venture Club and the European Tech Tour, which recently joined up in strategic alliance. Through the European Venture Contest annually 1000+ European entrepreneurs apply. Its various events are host to 600+ Venture Capital and Corporate investors and expert reviewers. Europe Unlimited has organized many events to support innovation management of SMEs and to improve their investor-readiness and access to finance and markets, including its well-known flagship events Nordic Venture Forum (12 editions), Benelux Venture Forum (14 editions), European Venture Summit (7 editions), European Venture Contest (10 editions). The International Venture Club (IVC), a collaborative platform of the best and most active investors operating or interested in the European venture market. Members of the Club today include decision makers from independent venture funds, corporate venture arms, government investment funds and banks. The members facilitate fund raising and help their portfolio companies to internationalize.


The bwcon GmbH offers founders and enterprises a continuous support along innovation processes and is involved in numerous regional, national and European activities and projects. A special focus is on the cooperation with start-ups and growth companies. The portfolio of bwcon is composed as a three-stage offer: The team of "Innovation Programmes" offers students and those interested in founding a start-up in the IT field different kinds of experimental spaces for the development of their business concepts. In cooperation with accredited coaches, the department "Coaching & Finance" supports young companies in the growth phase to sharpen their business plan and links them with investors. Finally, "Networks & Services" offers established companies a platform to co-create joint projects and at the same time promotes networking of established entrepreneurs with founders in the form of mentoring partnerships. The bwcon GmbH is a subsidary company of Baden-Württemberg: Connected e.V. and the Steinbeis foundation.

City Council of Lisbon (CML)

Lisbon believes that the future of the city will be strongly depended of the capability to invest and support the areas of Innovation, Knowledge, Creativity and Entrepreneurship. To this end a new General Direction for Economy and Innovation was created in 2011 in Lisbon City Council with the human and financial resources enabling to continuously work in a long term period on strengthening the networks supporting the ecosystem of innovation. Lisbon is already developing an ambitious strategy to become a European Capital of Innovation. Innovation, creativity, knowledge, learning, experimentation and co-creation are key words written and spoken in city´s daily life. They aren´t long term goals, they already exist for all of those who visit, study, work and invest in Lisbon. Through the publication of the document "Lisbon-Europe 2020", the Lisbon City Council is committed to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the EU 2020 Strategy supporting the integrated implementation of projects in various areas, including innovation. “Lisbon-Europe 2020” is strongly connected with economy, innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity dimensions and it was developed through a participatory process and structured in the following strategic areas contributing to the accomplishment of Europe 2020´s objectives: more people and inclusive growth; more jobs and sustainable city; better city and intelligent/smart city. For each strategic area several projects were defined as priorities. The document states that Lisbon strongly wants to support innovation and knowledge transfer, encouraging training and development of innovative environments, with the goal of generating economic and/or social value and improve competitive positioning of companies, contributing to the creation of better quality jobs, increased production efficiency, environmental sustainability and sustained growth of the country.

CCI Nice Côte d`Azur

The French Riviera Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a stakeholder and operator committed to developing and promoting the French Riviera and its companies. The main activities include economic observation, analysis and communication enabling economic actors and companies to take informed and appropriate decisions; Coordination and support services provided by teams of specialists to increase the performance of French Riviera companies and facilitate the exchange and adoption of best practices; and Training and education at the service of local companies. These services include support necessary for local and international development, and specific programmes aimed at helping industrial and innovative companies become more competitive.

European Business Angels Network (EBAN)

EBAN is the European trade association for business angels, seed funds, and other early stage market players. As a non-profit association established with the collaboration of the European Commission in 1999 by a group of pioneer BANs in Europe and EURADA, EBAN aims to improve the conditions in which early stage investors operate towards bridging the equity gap in Europe. EBAN, which is based in Brussels, comprises 111 member organisations in 39 countries today and represents indirectly (through federations) more than 250 business angel networks in Europe which federate around 20.000 angels.

European Crowdfunding Network (ECN)

The European Crowdfunding Network AISBL, based in Brussels, is a professional network promoting adequate transparency, (self) regulation and governance while offering a combined voice in policy discussion and public opinion building. We support our members in carrying initiatives aimed at innovating, representing, promoting and protecting the European crowdfunding industry in order to increase the understanding of the key roles that it can play in supporting entrepreneurship of all types.

Capgemini’s research with MIT furnishes a basis for benchmarking companies’ digital maturity.
