What is Powr of You?
Everyone wants your data, Powr of You helps you profit from it every time your data is used. Powr of You is a consumer intelligence platform that helps people make money from their online activities, and allows brands to understand people's digital habits and interests with actual behavior data from mobile, browsers, social, lifestyle apps.
Powr of You’s most recent success?
2016 has been a phenomenal year for Powr of You. They have built up their business with revenues, repeat client traction, paying users increasing rewards for their data and grown their team with necessary analytics talent!
They have been helping their users to monetise their data starting earlier in the year and paying between £9 to £50 every time their data is used with over £4k in rewards to users this year with users earning as much as £105 in rewards this year.
Powr of You is working with clients such as Starcom Mediavest, Dunnhumby, Join the Dots and are quickly expanding the list to global brands, publishers and media agencies in UK and USA.
Why should an experienced entrepreneur attend an event such as Nitro?
Shruti Malani Krishnan attended Nitro II, the Extreme Acceleration Event, that took place in Sophia Antipolis, France on 1st and 2nd December 2016.
“It’s always exciting to meet a new group of entrepreneurs, especially because they were coming from all parts of Europe in this case. I was most curious about the training sessions since the topics were really well selected but still high level so wasn’t sure what I’d get out of it.”
In order to be able to participate to the event, Shruti applied and won an ePlus Micro Grant of up to 500€ to cover her traveling and accomodation expenses.
On the first day of the event, Shruti participated to the Sales workshop:“The sales session on the first day was focused on actionable insights and hands-on discussion about real challenges we were facing. The faculty provided advice that was directly applicable to our business!”
On the second day, Shruti had the chance to pitch her venture to a panel of 10 investors coming specifically for the occasion: “The second day was helpful in learning about European angel investors, the way they assess business opportunities vs UK investors only and in-fact we’ve had good traction with some of the investors. We are currently fundraising and some of these investors are interested in participating in the round so a resounding success for us!”
Overall, Shruti thought that “the Nitro event has been one of the most eye-opening and helpful in opening up to the European resources and investors (rather than just being focused on the UK startup environment)!”
Although it is too early to give a concrete impact from their participation to Nitro, Shruti explains that they “have already started using the advice in our Sales tactics and have had interest from an investor we met at the event to participate in our current round. We’ll be continuing the conversations into the new year!”
